It has been nearly two years since the the Laser Center of Maryland first offered Neograft hair restoration to our clients. Results have been impressive, and our clients have been extremely pleased with the fast recovery, no scars, and thicker, fuller hair!

We are pleased to announce a new addition to our hair transplantation protocol. Our Neograft hair restoration system uses state of the art technology to harvest individual hair follicle units without scarring.  Now we are able to enhance these grafts by using Platelet Rich Plasma during the process. According to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, research has indicated that bathing the grafts in PRP prior to implantation promotes hair growth, shifts follicles into an active state and improves graft survival. Overall, PRP has the potential to decrease healing time and to speed up new hair growth.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a concentrated serum derived from a small amount of the patient’s blood. The serum is rich in growth factors, which can stimulate cell repair and wound healing. PRP has been used in a variety of medical treatments for years. Athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods and Rafael Nadal have all undergone PRP treatments to help repair joints and tendons.

Recently, PRP gained media attention with the Vampire Facelift. We have re-worked the principles of the Vampire procedure to include our Profractional laser to improve the deep absorption of PRP. Our PRP facelift gives you a double rejuvenation with laser treatment and the fast healing rejuvenation provided by your own natural blood cells.
